Oftenly, the material used is plastic but thanks to technological advancements, metal, ceramic, and even biomaterials have been used.

In Indonesia, PT Inspira Kreatif commonly known as Inspira Academy built the only local 3D printer factory; this local company not only assembles 3D printers, but designs printers and their components and also provides 3D printing education for students.

STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) based curriculum

As the first 3D educational printer in Indonesia with a tiered and integrated STEAM-based curriculum, 3D Pintar was created by Inspira Academy in 2021. It may be used in Indonesian schools from kindergarten through high school. Furthermore, Inspira Academy creates training materials and 3D printers for the industry through an online system that can be accessible from anywhere at any time.

With the “STEAM-based Educator Competency Improvement” program, which was started by the Regent of Ciamis Dr.H. Herdiat Sunarya, Regency Ciamis is one of the first districts in Indonesia to use 3D printing for human resource development. It has introduced 3D printed knowledge in STEAM Education for 1000 teachers in collaboration with Inspira Academy through the competencies enhancement program in 2021. This will be done in stages over three years.

Sugianto Kolim, the founder of PT Inspira Kreatif Infinia said “We transfer knowledge to the teaching staff and it is hoped that the teaching staff can educate their students. The collaboration between PT Inspira and the Ciamis Regency Government lasted for several years. 2021 will be the first batch and the second batch will be held in 2022. We also handed over 300 units of the Galuh edition of the 3D Pintar, which is a locally produced printer specially designed for Kindergarten, Elementary and Junior High Schools in Ciamis Regency,”

3D Printing Education – The Milestones of Industry 4.0

Increasing the domestic sector’s competitiveness, added value contribution, productivity, and sustainability is one of President Jokowi’s primary priorities in Presidential Regulation No. 18 of 2020, which focuses on using industry 4.0. One of the turning points of industry 4.0 is the ecosystem of 3D printing technology.

The government is committed to fostering the development of sufficient HR capabilities through the advancement of education, with a particular focus on three vocational institutions: Vocational High Schools, Job Training Centers, and Polytechnics.

However, to support Making Indonesia 4.0 it is not enough just to make a manufacturer but how to process Human Resources. Through Inspira Academy as one of the leading educational institutions and the first in Indonesia that has a concentration on 3D design and printing (3D creation), robotics and IoT, the company is building a learning ecosystem.

In order to increase the number of students and industry participants in Indonesia who utilize 3D printing and locally produced goods to promote Industry 4.0, which is the President’s stated goal, PT Inspira Kreatif Infinia will continue to build an education program based on the technology. Additionally, Inspira will increase local printer production and introduce new models to provide more options in line with Indonesian consumers needs.

Unnecessary Costs Are No Longer Showing

Sugianto claims that one benefit of 3D printers is their ability to generate design work in three dimensions. Sugianto even claimed that the fact that practically all of the plastic parts of the 3D printer are produced by highly accurate industrial 3D printer machines is one of the reasons PT Inspira was able to create a local 3D printer. Therefore, the injection process initially costs no longer showed.

“We are really building this industry seriously, because we believe that the future trend has very good prospects and is needed by the industry, either on a small and large scale. That’s why we built this 3D printing ecosystem from educational materials, certifications, and national 3D printer products for Education and Industry,” said Sugianto.

Source

https://indoposco.id/ekonomi/2021/12/28/3d-printer-edukasi-pertama-di-indonesia-diluncurkan

3D Printer Edukasi Pertama di Indonesia Diluncurkan

3D Printing industry or 3D printing education has become popular in recent years. Three-dimensional and real items are produced with 3D printing by combining various materials with the aid of a computer.
